19th-Century Blue and White Transferware Plate, “Oriental” Pattern by Ridgways

Description: Blue and white transferware plate in the “Oriental” pattern, produced in England by Ridgways during the 19th century. The central design shows an exotic architectural scene with palm trees and figures, surrounded by scenic reserves and floral cartouches on a textured blue ground. The plate is finished with a gilt rim, adding refinement to the design. Marked on the underside “Oriental, Ridgways, England.”
Measurements: 9" diameter
Materials: Glazed earthenware with transfer-printed decoration, gilt rim
Condition Note: Crazing, surface wear, and minor staining consistent with age and use. Some gilt loss present. No major cracks or repairs observed.
