Antique Copeland Late Spode “Ruins” Sauce Tureen Set

An antique English sauce tureen by Copeland Late Spode in the “Ruins” pattern, also known as “Melrose.” The complete set includes the covered tureen, matching underplate, and original ceramic ladle. Romantic architectural ruins appear throughout in a soft, smoky blue transfer, while raised acorn and oak leaf details with gilt accents decorate the handles and lid. The pattern was registered in 1848, and the underside bears the corresponding registration mark.
