The “Fountain” pattern is scarce, especially in the mulberry colorway and in a large platter form.

An antique English transferware platter by E. Wood & Sons in the “Fountain” pattern. Printed in a rich mulberry tone, the design features an elaborate tiered fountain surrounded by trees, mountains, and water. A richly detailed floral and scrollwork border follows the softly scalloped edge. The underside bears the E. Wood & Sons Fountain stamp.
