An antique English transferware plate in the Florentine pattern by T. J. & J. Mayer, dating from approximately 1843 to 1855. The design features a romantic Italianate landscape surrounded by alternating architectural scenes and floral decoration, all rendered in soft blue against a creamy white ground. The reverse bears the maker’s Florentine stamp.
