An original 1845 architectural study by HB Garling, depicting intricate ornamental designs observed in the Piazza Minerva, Rome. Executed in delicate pencil and fine ink linework, the sheet features scrolling acanthus leaves, stylized buds, floral rosettes, and a scallop shell motif—each drawn with precision and balance. Likely created as a reference for decorative architectural carving, this work reflects the artist’s meticulous observation of classical ornamentation. Unframed, mockup for example.
