A nineteenth century Ridgways Staffordshire blue transferware platter in the Oriental pattern, featuring a detailed pastoral landscape at the center framed by alternating floral and vignette reserves. The scene includes classical architecture, palm trees, and water views, a composition commonly used in Ridgways export designs during the mid-1800s. The scalloped rim carries a soft blue ground patterned with florals and rural motifs. The impressed and printed stamps confirm Ridgways manufacture.
